Tahoe Rim Trail -> (9/1-9/8) (miles 1-165)

The Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) is a 165 mile loop around Lake Tahoe, passing through 6 counties, several national forests, and 3 wilderness areas (Desolation, Granite Chief, and Mt. Rose).  On the west side of Lake Tahoe the TRT shares 50 miles of trail with the PCT.  There are several options for starting points on the TRT, I chose to begin in Tahoe City on the north shore and do the loop counterclockwise.

The TRT was a fantastic hike with great views, varied terrain, quality camping spots, and easy resupply options.
